Dunedin Marathon — Aug 1, 2018

The ‘Mini Marathon’ is focused on making this event enjoyable for children of all age and ability, with no barriers to entry. Children will be able to enter online at any stage from 1st August at dunedinmarathon.co.nz – removing the pressure for the schools to actively engage in the programme. Children will be required to pay a gold coin donation when they pick up their race numbers prior to race day at the Sargood Centre, and from 7:30am on Race Day at the Caledonian.

The event will be held on Sunday 9 September 2018, and will finish inside Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium. The Mini Marathon will begin at 8am. The proposed course lengths are 1km for ages 5-8 and 2km for 9-12 year olds, and the course will be confirmed closer to race day. This will be communicated via our Facebook page, website, and to confirmed participants directly.
