Principal's Post

Stacey Gribben —

Our wonderful caretaker, Jason, has been busy planting new trees and plants around the school. The trees were funded through the Science Participatory Platform Fund which also contributed to the cost of our solar panels.

Schools are required to hold a range of emergency drills each year. One of the drills that we need to run in Term 2 is a lock down drill. Prior to the drill teachers will talk with tamariki about the necessary procedures and make sure they understand what is required. We are also mindful that drills can be scary for some children so teachers will do their utmost to alleviate any fears that may arise.

It has been great to get around the classrooms and see how engaged tamariki are with their learning. Whether it be reading, maths, writing or science, children are on task and keen to show what they are learning.

Once again, if I can be of assistance with any matter, feel free to contact me.

Ngā mihi
