Cross Country 2017

Shaun Robinson —

On Monday afternoon we had our school Cross Country.
It was a bit touch and go with the weather, but the kids were so keen we just had to go ahead with the races.  It was so lovely to see so many smiles while they ran around the track. I know all of the teachers were very proud to see everyone giving it a go and having a great attitude.

Well done kids!

I felt...  sore in the stomach from the nerves boiling up.

I saw...  the finish just in front of me, scared that I may not  finish it.

I heard... screaming and cheering as we pushed ourselves to the limit.

I felt... exhausted and deflated as I passed the finish line.

I saw... people passing me when I slowed down.

I heard... the clapper bang to start us off

I felt... successful as I found out my place.

I saw...  my sister and my cousin cheering for me behind the  fence.

I heard...  the wind whooshing in my ears.
