The Sustainable Students from Room 8 & 9 turn old scrap paper into beautiful new paper!

The sustainability conscious students from Room 8 and 9 came together to talk about what we could do with all our scrap paper?

We talked and we thought, and we talked some more and then we had a brainwave! We could recycle it and turn it into new paper!

First we made paper soup by ripping up our old scrap paper into tiny little pieces and adding it to a tub of water. Then we put our wet goopy paper soup on to a mesh board and squeezed out as much of the water as we could.  We carefully put our wet recycled paper on to the bench to dry.

We added petals to our wet recycled paper to make it even more beautiful.  If you would like to have a look at our lovely new paper just pop into Room 8 or 9!
