Year 4 Museum Sleepover

Lisa Lowden —

Last week the Year 4's attended the long awaited sleepover at the Otago Museum.

This is such a great opportunity for the children as they head into the Senior School next year. Many thanks to the wonderful parents/grandparents that came along and supported this trip.

My most favourite thing about the Year 4 sleep over...

The best thing about the sleepover was sneaking past the alarms for the midnight walk. I was feeling really brave. I liked being in the animal attic.  Jacob

My most favourite thing about the sleepover was going on the night walk. I felt excited, but scared. There were chickens and monkeys on the ceiling in the animal attic. There was a giant spider crab, it was a little scary. I slept really well with my group. In my group was Aleija, Annalise, Madi and Mrs Fitzgerald. It was really hot in my sleeping bag. Rahaf.

I really loved going into the tropical butterfly house. I had butterflies land on my top and even inside my top. The year 4 sleepover was so exciting I want to go again.  Ashlyn

Getting free time play in Tuhura. I loved going inside the light room and exploring all of the cool games there. Ashlyn and Liz were in my group. We had lots of yummy pizza for dinner. It was such a fantastic time.  David

I loved it when we dressed up Kailah as the queen of Samoa, and Sam as the king. We explored the 'people of the world gallery'. We had to use a box of random items and create outfits. When we were finished we walked the catwalk in front of everyone. The sleep over was extraordinary.  Grace

I loved zooming down the giant slide. I went down it about 100 times. I also loved the light room in Discovery World. Year 4 sleep over was the best! We were very lucky!
