Plenty of Smiles

Chris Smith —

A thoroughly enjoyable performance from our pupils at Stars on Stage.

Great to see 100 senior syndicate pupils strutting, twisting, swinging and smiling on stage on Tuesday evening. Well done to the dancers and also Mrs Fitzgerald and Miss DeCourcy for their work in preparing the children for the event.

Best of luck to the 7 students heading to Christchurch at the end of the week to compete in the Tournament of Minds event on Saturday. Thanks to Mrs Gribben for the work across the year in preparing this group.

Tomorrow, all going according to plan, Rooms 10 and 11 pupils will return to their newly refurbished Hub. We will then move Rooms 1, 2, and 3 to their temporary accommodation while this Hub is upgraded.  My thanks to the teachers and kids during this period.

It is time for the Hands up approach from our Community to assist the Home and School team with the fast-approaching Fair. I have heard that we have had a number of volunteers thus far. Please let Amy or a member of the committee know if you are able to help on either the Saturday for setup or at the Fair on the day. Orders are in for the sun to be shining.

My thanks also to the parents and middle syndicate teachers who have the upcoming Museum sleepover. This is the first experience for many of a sleepover away from friends and family and leads well into the camps that children undertake in Years 5 and 6.

As always if I can be of assistance let me know.

Regards Chris
