Refurbishment is underway!

Chris Smith —

The latest upgrade to our learning environment is underway.

The pupils and teachers from Rooms 10 and 11 have vacated their space to allow for stage 1 of our refurbishment to get underway. This is timelined to take about five weeks and once completed the builders will move to Rooms 1, 2 and 3. We will also be doing some more re-roofing in the senior block and our pool roof will be getting replaced. My thanks to the teachers and kids from these spaces that have carried on as though nothing has changed.

There was a fabulous turnout on Monday to our Cross Country. Some of our runners will head down to Balmacewen Intermediate this coming Tuesday to compete in the Hills Cross Country against our neighbouring schools. Best of luck to those athletes.

Next week we have the 11 Lead Teachers from the Peninsula Cluster in looking at how Wakari operates, something that we should be very proud of. This follows visits from a school in the North Island and also a local college. Some great stuff happening right here under our noses.

I look forward to a term full of opportunities for our athletes, learners and performers.

As always if I can be of assistance please pop in and see me.

Regards

Chris
