Syndicate Structures and Hubs for 2018

Chris Smith —

As signaled in this and other publications we are making some changes in our pedagogy (the way we teach) and also the way we utilize our learning spaces.

Here are our Learning Hub structures for 2018

The Junior Syndicate will start with 2 learning hubs and as our New Entrant numbers increase we will move to 3 learning hubs.

Hub 1 will be our Year 2 Students and will be based in our current Room 12 and 13 and incorporate the 2 new breakout spaces and 3 teachers.

Mrs. Bonney                     Room 14 (old Room 13  )

Mrs. Bardwell                  Room 13

Ms. Riggir                           Room 12

Hub 2 will be our Year 1 students and will initially operate across Rooms 6, 8 and 9

Mrs. Stanbridge                  Room 6 (Syndicate Leader)

Mrs. Lawson                         Room 9

Hub 3 will be up and running once we open Room 7. Room 6 and 7 will then operate together.

The Middle Syndicate will operate in 2 learning hubs and will use Room 17 (previously Room 14) as a breakout space. The Middle Syndicate will also have an extra Literacy Teacher and an extra Numeracy Teacher for 5 hours a week respectively. All classes will be a mix of Year 3 and 4 students.
