Term 1 going swimmingly

Chris Smith —

Over half way through the term and children are making the most of the opportunities on offer.

Nine classes a day currently are receiving lessons from Jill Clarke swim school. The benefit of our own pool is evident to me as the children simply stroll across to the pool and return to class all in around 45 mins. Thanks to those who are helping at this time. I always see progression from the majority when the two week intensive programme occurs.

Thanks again to Al Dangerfield for manning the Helensburgh crossing  before school. As we enter Autumn and the sun becomes lower in the mornings it can be a tricky place for our children as they get to school. Al will accept donations of a warm scone or a cuppa.

We have a couple of short weeks and then push towards the end of term. It is vitally important to push through and maintain those structures that are now in place for children.

If anyone is interested in becoming a Trustee then please look at the article in this publication for more information. 'A parents' guide to the role of the Board of Trustees' pamphlets are available in the office.
