Thanks to the families that attended are Whanau Hui recently, your input is incredibly valuable to making Wakari a fabulous place for all its pupils.

Hopefully, all families have returned slips for Parent Interviews and will today receive your time slot from your child's teacher. If you have not got a meeting arranged it is imperative you make contact with your teacher and set up a meeting around your child's learning before the term ends.

Great to see the kids prepared for the current swimming block. Thanks to those getting the swimming togs and towels to and from School.

I have had some great conversations recently with keen parents about what they can do to help around the place. Joining the Home and School is one key option but not everyone wants to be on a committee. There are other ways you can contribute to continuing to support your School. Road Patrol, BBQ duty, Class trips and are standard areas. If every family, of which we have about 225, donated one day a year to assisting the School we would be able to achieve plenty for our learners. Our Friday "Project Based Learning" programmes kickoff Term 2 and Syndicate Leaders are currently on the hunt for helpers.

Miss Charlotte Ford will be joining the Wakari Teaching team next term. Charlotte will be Co-Teaching with Mrs Stanbridge across the Room 6 and 7. She will attend the upcoming parent interviews and visit across the last two weeks of this term. We look forward to seeing Charlotte launch into her teaching career with us.
