On Thursday the 18 August some off the seniors went to Tahuna Intermediate for the Uke Jam. There were lots of other schools and a band on the stage. We played songs on our ukuleles. There were opportunities to go on the stage and do the cup song and play 'Seven Years'. The band had a piano player, a bass player, an electric guitar player and electric drums. We got to go outside for 20 minutes at morning tea time. We had a drummer from Ghana to teach ten people to drum to 'Amawole'. He also judged the ukulele design. The teachers did a performance too. They had to do 'Uptown Funk' and had to dress up and dance in front of everyone.

Uke Jam was really fun. The music was awesome and we all had a great time. Thanks to Mrs Gribben for being the best dancer and helping us learn how to play the ukulele.
