Tēnā koutou to all the parents and staff who recently provided the Board with feedback on the qualities you would like to see in the future Principal of Wakari Primary School. 

The Board does not take the responsibility of appointing a new Principal lightly - we recognise this is a significant decision for the school community and we are appreciative of the feedback we have received through our community and staff consultation process. That feedback has now been used to inform the criteria we are putting in place to find a new Principal. We have just this past week started the advertising process and the aim is to have a new Principal confirmed early in term 4 ready to start in Term One of 2023. 

The Board has asked the Principal at Balmacewen Intermediate School (Andrew Hunter) and our Deputy Principal (Stacey Gribben) to support the Board in this process. We will keep you informed as we go.
