Hub 2/3 children have been learning about how the early navigators used the environment to help them get to New Zealand.

The children created lanterns that help them to tell the early navigation story of Kupe, Tupaia and Captain Cook. Their lantern had to have stars, a waka and waves. Some added clouds, fish, the sun and dolphins. The hardest job was pricking the picture onto the lantern- lots of perseverance was needed. The lanterns look really amazing.
