Keen mathematicians have a go at the 2018 O'Mathalon

Caroline Brown —

Recently we had two teams of children represent Wakari at the annual O'Mathalon.

At the Year 6 O'Mathalon we had to do some very hard math questions. It was quite hard to do because we had two maths  equations to work on at once. In my team was Lucy, Hamish, Jackson and myself. I really enjoyed doing the O'Mathalon because it was challenging. I was on the end of the table so I got to run to our marker a lot more than the inside.       By Kaylea Phillips

Four Year 5 and 6 children went to the 2018 O'Mathalon. The Year 6s went first and we got about 5 questions right but that's a good amount since they were very hard questions! In the year 6 team the kids that went were Kaylea, Hamish, Jackson and myself. The year 5s were Roree, Ruben, Jacob and Matt - they did well also.  The Year 6s went first and we got about 5 questions right but that's a good amount since they were very hard questions! When we finished we got lollies and the team that came first got all the questions right!!      By Lucy Irvine
