Hub 12/13 get creative making accessories on the 3D printer

Lisa Lowden —

This term the Middles PBL focus is on Wearable Arts. We have started our topic off by learning how to use Tinkercad and designing and creating badges. We then printed them on the two 3D printers we have in our Hub. We also designed and made some funky glasses.

We had to listen to Pip and follow lots of instructions. We went on Tinkercad to make our badges. First we had to find a cylinder and change the size, then we added text (our names) Then we had to wait for them to be printed out. The 3D printer made an annoying noise but it was fun watching it. 3D printers are great because you can print off things that you have designed on Tinkercad. I would love to print off a 3D dog.  Ava

I like to use the 3D printer because its really cool how you can design different things and then print them off 3D. I would love to make a 3D flower or tiger. Sophie

I like the 3D printer because it is fun watching it work in the classroom. I would like to make a sign for my bedroom door. It would say Ella and Emilys room.
