Road Safety in the Rooms 4 / 5 Hub.

Anna Lawson —

In the Rooms 4 and 5 Hub we were lucky to have a visit from our friendly local Police Officer to talk to the children about car and road safety.

On Friday morning  Constable Emily came to visit the Junior Syndicate to talk to the children about car and road safety.  We were very impressed by the children who were able to answer many of the questions asked by Constable Emily showing they understood the safety issues regarding traveling in a car and crossing roads. After a great session in the classroom where the children even had a chance to practise crossing an imaginary road, we took to the streets to apply their knowledge in a practical way. All of the children lined up and took turns crossing at the Pedestrian crossing, again we were very impressed with all the children who carefully followed instructions and knew exactly what they were meant to do.  If you need to know how to cross the road safely, ask the super children in the Rooms 4 and 5 Hub.  They know, and can show you what to do.
