Welcome to a new term at Wakari, one which has started with plenty of vigor.

Antartica is our school-wide theme and already word is out that we had a wayward Penguin drop in to visit the children last week. The rumour is that the penguin may return with some of her friends and that a Happy Feet Dance may be on the cards.....

This week we have reviewers from the Education Review Office in and about the school. The team has been pouring over our written material, meeting with our Board, our senior leadership team,  the wider teaching staff and chatting with groups of kids as they endeavor to discover what makes us tick, what is going well, and where we could look to make improvements for our students.

Our Project Based Learning begins this Friday and the staff and I would like to thank those who have committed to helping with the programme across parts, or all of this term. If you are interested in assisting please pop in and see your classroom teacher. Each syndicate runs slightly different programmes and any help is gladly received. 

Welcome to Miss Charlotte Ford who has begun her teaching career in Room 7. Miss Ford will be teaching in a co-operative teaching environment with Mrs Stanbridge and we wish her all the best for her time with our learners.
