COVID Makes a Comeback!
A number of new cases within our school highlights the need to be vigilant.
To minimise the risk of getting COVID, please keep in the mind the following:
- Stay home if you are sick.
- Regular hand washing / sanitising
- Clean shared surfaces regularly
- Physical distancing from people you do not know
- Face masks help reduce the spread
- Good ventilation
Current NZ isolation rules:
If you have COVID
You must self-isolate for 7 days while you recover.
Day 0 is the day your symptoms started or when you tested positive, whichever came first.
Your Household Contacts do not need to isolate. They should test daily for 5 days. If they test positive, they need to begin 7 days of isolation as someone with COVID-19.
If you are a Household contact
If someone you live with tests positive for COVID-19, you do not need to isolate.
However, you should test daily for 5 days with a rapid antigen test (RAT) from the day the person with COVID-19 tested positive.
If any of your tests are positive, you must self-isolate for 7 days. If you cannot test daily, we recommend you stay home for 5 days.
