This week the Garden Groupers sampled some scrumptious roasted beetroot and yams that had been harvested from our own school garden!

It was great to see our keen gardeners sample the yummy goodies from our garden this week, especially as some of our gardeners had never tried yams and beetroot before!  We have also harvested some potatoes from our garden and had a discussion about what great things we could create from these potatoes?  The gardeners gave  delicious ideas such as; hashbrowns, mashed potatoes, potato salad, baked potatoes and more!  In our next session together we will put our ideas to the test in the kitchen!

If you are keen to try out your green thumb, the Garden Group meets every second Wednesday at lunchtime, from 12.50pm onwards (either at our garden at the top field or in the hall - weather dependent). We welcome all new members (students and parents) to come along and join in with this fun group!
