Room 10 and 11 dive deep down into the ocean!

Lucy Newton —

Room 10 and 11 have continued their topic of "under the Sea' and last week we got creative!

We have really been enjoying learning about all of the amazing and wonderful creatures that live in the depths of the sea. We decided to put our creativity to the test and make our very own 3D under water portholes.

First we planned what we wanted to put in our porthole and thought of different materials that we could use such as coloured paper, pipe cleaners, shells and more.

The next day, we started by drawing our main creature and also got to paint our background.

Then it was time to start creating! We had so much fun using different materials to create our under the sea portholes and we think they look pretty great!

Here are some of the kids favourite/most difficult parts...

My favourite part was gluing down the shells into my porthole because I enjoy using the hot glue gun - Bonnie

The hardest part was gluing the creatures on - Micah

The best part was putting it all together and seeing the finished product, they look so good! - Ravyn

The hardest part was probably drawing our creatures because they were quite small but we wanted to add lots of detail - Charlotte

The hardest part was gluing it all down and making sure all my bits could fit in my porthole - Daniel
