The Junior Hub - Room's 1, 2 & 3 have been exploring our past and are finishing off the term putting the final touches on our project.

The junior syndicate began Term 1 looking at the types of games that people of our past played at school and at home. Their journey over the term has seen the tamariki learn how to ask curious questions that seek big answers and technology skills such as how to take a photo that is in focus for our projects. 

Learning these skills have helped us to understand what school was like for the tamariki of Wakari School in the past and what differences we have in 2023! 

The tamariki across the hub have been working on a special project... Their very own book that they have developed over the term. The tamariki made a plan (called a storyboard), asked questions that they wanted to research/ find out about,  took pictures, cut and glued and wrote their comparisons and captions for their pictures.

We are all looking forward to our Toitu trip next week to find out more about how people lived in our past here in Ōtepoti.
