I got my rugby medal for ‘recognising outstanding contribution, teamwork, excellence and leadership.’ I was really excited and Mum and Dad said well done. My coach told me that I was getting the award so we had to to go to the Green Island Rugby Club last Sunday to receive it. There were some Otago rugby players there and we got to have a photo with them.

On Sunday 6th of August I got nominated for the Harcourts Rugby Award. There was one person from each rugby team and in my team I got it. I got a silver medal, certificate and a pass to train with the all blacks at the Edgar Centre. My cousin also got it from his team but he plays for Harbour and I play for Kaikorai. My cousin also got nominated so when he gets back he will get a surprise. I was really happy and excited. Mum and Dad were really proud. On the same weekend I got given Player of the Day for my rugby team, Player of the Club and I scored 4 tries in my rugby game!!
