Room 12 & 13 Elections

Anna Hartley —

The Senior syndicate have been studying the New Zealand Elections. Rooms 12 & 13 decided to hold a classroom election.

In Rooms 12 & 13 we have been learning about the New Zealand Elections.

We all got split into groups of five, then we had to read out our policies that we had made up.

We had a mini vote in our groups for who would be in the Rooms 12 & 13 election. The students chosen were Islay, Jack,  Amber, Tom, Makayla, Daniel and Mariah. There were about 3-5 sports parties.

Out of all seven parties the A Party won. Amber ran the A party. Her policies were to make more clubs for Rooms 12 & 13, she also said that maybe we could meet up with Rooms 2 & 3 more often.

In Rooms 12 and 13 we had a class election.

Where we made up our own political party with some policies of our own choice.

We had to go into a group and vote whose party was the best to become the leader of our group. So we had our election to see who would win, after that we counted up the votes to see who would win. The winner of the election was the A party and the leader was Amber, so well done to Amber.

When the A party won the election I was very excited. I did not expect my party to win but I think a lot of people liked our polices. Our polices were to do more activities with Rooms 2 & 3, have more clubs and do sports and art days. I am very excited that the A party won!
