We want to wish Room 12's Jack Keen and Tom Dangerfield the best of luck for their upcoming national football tournament. 

Over the last few months we have been practising and playing after we were both picked for the Otago under 11 football team. We have been to Invercargill, Alexandra and Timaru and in the school holidays we are going to Nelson to play in a national tournament. 

We had to go to two trials to get picked. The first trial was chaos because there were at least 60 kids to trial to get in and in the second trial they cut out about 30 kids. After the trials we got an email to see if we got in and we did!

We had to train 3 times a week with our teams where we did drills and exercises. We really liked playing and training with our team and we made lots of new friends. We also play other Otago teams in training. 

We have really enjoyed it and hope to get picked next year.
