Welcome to the third school term for 2016

I hope you had a great break with friends and Whanau over the holiday period. As is the standard here at Wakari there is plenty for our tamariki to be getting stuck into, lots of opportunities to explore talents and lots of experiences to enhance learning.

Our school Cross Country, held in wintery conditions, flowed well. I thought it was noticeable that a major contingent of runners this year did just that; run. Thanks to staff for preparing the children for the event. The Hills Cluster Cross Country is coming up and I look forward to seeing how our amazing runners go at this event.

Thanks to those parents and friends of the school who have spent numerous hours sewing new costumes for our Kapahaka group that will be on stage at the Edgar Centre towards the end of this term. Remember all are welcome to pop in and see the progress the children are making with their performance items.
