Exciting times for Wakari

Chris Smith —

Last Wednesday Mark Osborne spent his second of four visits with our Leadership group, teaching team and Board of Trustees.

Wakari School has employed Mark as a consultant for 2017 to help us along with our look into Co-operative Teaching and Future Focused Schooling. I always find these days refreshing, challenging and immensely engaging. It is not always easy to get our school leaders in a room where our sole focus is on the direction we could take as a school. Mark spent an hour and a half presenting to our teaching team and the Board members who were able to attend and it was a session that planted plenty of seeds of thought for our practitioners.

Thanks to those that have given time to assist with the plethora of activities taking place during our "Friday Programme".  We would not be able to offer the project-based learning topics without your support.

Any spare lego lying around (hurting your bare feet at night) would be welcomed at school. We are looking to create a maker space in the library and a lego area is one option we would like to run in this area. Simply drop it in at the office.

Regards Chris
