Stars on Stage 2017

Caroline Brown —

Wakari truly were stars on stage last Tuesday night!

Stars on Stage is an opportunity for Wakari School Seniors to be up on stage in front of an audience. There can be different dances, songs and cultures which are all put together into one big show. It is not just Wakari School that do Stars on Stage there are a variety of schools that choose to take part. Wakari School danced to Aotearoa national songs such as Six Months in a Leaky Boat, Untouchable Girls and Poi E. I have asked three teachers from Wakari school about what they thought of our performance.

Mrs Sargeant - I thought it was awesome!

Mr Smith - Even though I was backstage I thought the kids did us proud.

Mrs Brown - I loved seeing the happy faces of the performers before and after the show.

And a special thanks to Mrs Gribben and the organisers for this wonderful opportunity.
