Our Leafcutter Bees!
At the end of last term we welcomed leafcutter bees to Wakari School.
Mrs Gribben came to visit us last term. She showed us a tiny container which had 70 leafcutter bee cocoons inside it. Each one was wrapped in a little leaf!
Next she carefully took out each one and placed them all into a special nesting tray.
Then we slotted the tray into our beehive.
Come and visit our hive outside the library. You will see the bees when the weather warms up......hopefully soon!
