Hub 2/3 have been making maths fun on a hot day.

We started the year learning about how to group things together and make a graph. Because we had hot weather and the children were feeling hungry we made a graph about favourite flavours of ice cream. The children gave suggestions for flavours to vote on and after collecting the information - 'unicorn' flavour won! 

Unfortunately...... when Miss Storer went to the shops there was no such flavour to buy. So Hub 2/3 ended up designing and eating their own unicorn ice creams. At the end of the afternoon we had very happy children with sticky faces. 

The children then wrote ice cream stories.
