The poem was about soccer after my favourite sport. I wrote it because Mrs Gribben told us to write a poem about something so when I was home sick I asked Mum if I could write a poem and here it is.

SOCCER

You can hear the crowd cheer as you score a goal at the world cup qualifiers.

You can hear the commentator scream "GOALLLLLLLL".

When you run with the ball you feel the nerves about missing a goal running through your veins.

The sound of the crowd gives you the courage.

When you pass the ball the other team makes an intercept and they run towards your goal. They take a shot, you panic and before you know it the goalie saves it.
