Thanks for the support for the 1st half of the year.

Again we have had excellent support for the Parent Teacher Interviews held this week. High turnouts and focused learning conversations will help children progress with their learning. Do, as parents, follow up on suggestions around ways you can help your child at home.

Next term the staff will begin an 18-month Professional Development programme around Culturally Responsive Practices and Mathematics. Janice Tofia and Shona McRae will facilitate the development.  

After 'doing the sums' from income and expenses from the pool we have decided that it is most definitely a sustainable model heading forward. There may be a small increase in cost as we will look to open earlier this year. Therefore, come the start of Term 4 we will look to sell keys to Wakari School families. More information will follow later in Term 3.

The School Fair is fast approaching and the Fair Committe would appreciate the donation of tidy second hand goods. 

If you  have LEGO or similar style construction blocks that are no longer used at  home they would be greatly appreciated by the school for use in classrooms.
