Room 1s Super Self Portraits

Georgie Bond —

The tamariki in Room 1 have been super busy painting their self portraits.

In Room 1 and 3 hub the children have been very busy drawing and painting their self portraits. The children began by drawing their head and ears then looked in the mirror and drew their eyes, trying very hard to draw the correct shape they could see. They painted the colour of their eyes then pupil then really concentrated on the lashes and brows. 'Eye brows are meant to be sisters, not twins,' I think they have done a marvellous job. On Seesaw the children commented what they like and would change. We have decided we will use a different colour for our nose next time, as they are hard to see. Lots of children said they like their lips best. The children are very proud of their portraits and are often looked at and talked about. We look forward to showing you once we are out of Red Level. Here are some of Room 1 children's portraits.
