When we went to the North Zone Athletics we found our group and area to sit in the stands. Everyone was looking very happy, excited and a little bit nervous. There were a whole lot of people there!

We each got to compete in our events during the day. Everything was super organised and there was a lady who read out loud where we had to go for our events.

It was really fun competing against other schools and children in each of the races. The relays went really well. Long jump, discus and shotput were fun too.

Some children went on to compete at the Otago Athletics Competition. We all really enjoyed it and had a fantastic day.
