Year 6 Camp 2020

Alisha DeCourcy —

The Year 6s have just come back from an amazing week away at Camp Iona. We were lucky to have had beautiful weather all week, which meant time to fit in all our fun activities! We celebrated 50 years of Wakari School going to Camp Iona by planting a new tree. Thanks so much to the parents who came to help, we could not have done it without you! Here are some of our highlights....

My favourite part of camp was the River Gorge Trip because it was exciting and challenging. My adrenaline was up the whole time, I felt very amazed that I could do it! - Tahlia

A highlight of camp was Raft Building because I could catch little fish in the river and set them free. Our raft didn't make it down the river but it was fun working with other people. - Jacob

Camp was awesome because we got to do Kayaking and Yachting. It was fun because I got to do it by myself, I was nervous but proud of myself for giving it a go! - Amelia

The best part about camp was the meatloaf because it was so juicy and tasty. I was so full, I couldn't go back for seconds! Thanks to the parents who made it! - Jack C
