Regular Sleep Pattern

Does your child get enough sleep?

Regular Routines
The somewhat frantic feeling that comes with the beginning of the school year looks to be behind us. It is fantastic to see children who have adjusted back into school routines, are happy to arrive at school in the morning, and are ready to learn.

We encourage all parents to be mindful of how bedtime and morning routines have a direct impact on a child's ability to learn in the classroom. Evidence suggests that not enough or poor quality sleep can have a negative effect on a child's behaviour, learning, health, wellbeing and weight.

Below are some links to articles on sleep for children and bedtime routines. There is also an interesting graph showing bed time guidelines for children aged 5-12.
