Wildlife Hospital Visits Room 10 and 11!

Lucy Newton —

Last week, Room 10 and 11 were lucky enough to have some visitors from the Wildlife Hospital come and talk to us about the amazing work they do. This was all thanks to a very generous donation from Lyra and Emma in Room 11.

Our visitors talked about some of their patients that they get in the hospital and all the important jobs that they do to help keep our wildlife safe. Then came the fun part - we got to bandage up our soft toys and come up with a scenario on what happened to them.

Here are some of our favourite parts:

I loved getting to demonstrate how to bandage an arm with the giant penguin - Emma Rm 11.

I really enjoyed learning about all the different animals that go to the animal hospital - Daniel Rm 10.

We learnt about all the different things that happened so some of the animals and how the hospital helped them - Georgie Rm 10.

We got to bring our teddies to school. It was so fun! - Payton Rm 10.

They showed us pictures of all the different rooms in the hospital where they care for the animals - Reece Rm 11.

I liked how they showed us how to bandage up an animal and we got to do it on our toys! - Ravyn Rm 10.

I liked that they care for a range of different animals - Henry Rm 10.

We learnt about the kinds of food that the animals eat - Poppy Rm 10.
