The Garden Groupers enjoy some school grown corn!

Heather Bonney —

Last week our Garden Groupers harvested the corn from our HUMONGOUS corn plants, the corn had grown so tall that the plants were taller than us!

The Garden Groupers had a busy session last week harvesting our huge corn and also harvesting our yummy cherry tomatoes (that were actually bright yellow!)   We had fun peeling the husks off the corn and collecting a large pile of corn on the cob.

Mrs Logie cooked the corn (in the hall kitchen) for the Garden Groupers to try, and it was scrumptious!

We also got to feast on yummy mashed potatoes - made from our school grown potatoes.  What amazing green thumbs our Garden Groupers have!

The Garden Group meets every Tuesday at lunchtime, from 12.50pm onwards (weather permitting). We welcome all new members (students and parents) to come along and join in with this fun group!
