KVC Sports Expo

Caroline Brown —

The sun shone for this year's KVC sports expo. We got to try lots of different sports including yoga, rock climbing, badminton and parkour. We think it was the best one yet!

On the way to the Sports Expo the boys were singing on the bus. It was really annoying so Miss Moore said stop singing, so I sat beside Miss Moore.                    By Hye Rim

We were lining up to go to the KVC SPorts Expo. We got on the bus. I was feeling a excited and a little bit nervous. I sat down beside Lilly and Annabelle on the bus. I could hear people talking loudly.   By Charlotte

Bowls               I felt excited.  I wanted to give it a go.  I heard silence.  I thought it would be hard and it was! We had to concentrate on getting the right strength.  I saw black and brown balls spread on the mat. I heard a hard click as my bowl hit the jack.   By Noah

Climbing            Wow!   That wall is high!   'Help,' I heard Charlotte say.'   I can't reach.'  'Here,' I said as I reached out to help her. Yay it was time for the challenge of trying to climb over the wall. Marlie went first - she made it halfway. Then it was my turn, I made it to the last panel. I was happy that I had made it that far and I wanted to keep going but it was time to change over.     By Lilly T

Table Tennis            I felt very excited to have a go at table tennis.  I was very good at balancing the ball on the bat. I really liked hitting the ball to Jack. It was really fun.   By Liam W.

Hockey               After we did bowls we went onto hockey. First we had to get a hockey stick and then line up in groups. We had to practice our skills. Then we played a few games. In one game I was really excited about scoring a goal - I actually did it!  By Jack

On the way home from the  sports expo I was so tired and really hot and I felt like going to sleep. Then all the boys started singing the wheels on the bus. When I turned around I saw a lot of red faces. The day was really fun. My favourite part was rock climbing because I liked climbing the wall. Bowls was fun too because it was easier than I thought.   By Milly

I was exhausted. The boys at the back of the bus still seemed to have energy left - unlike me who kept checking the time.  The wheels on the bus go round and round and round. The boys kept singing this on and on.   All of a sudden there was a clatter and a bang!  It sounded like coins falling all over the ground. I couldn't be bothered looking to see what it was because I was just looking out the window wondering where my car was.  By Roree

We went to a sports expo which was a fun sports day. On the bus trip back I was looking around me and all of the kids had very red faces - as red as a ripe tomato. Some boys at the back of the bus were singing 'The Wheels on the Bus' very loudly and it was annoying. People's drink bottles were empty and there were so so many thirsty kids. Some people, like me, had a spare one and gave it to their friends.   By Marlie
