A plethora of experiences for our learners so far in this term.

Below is the process to follow if your child will be absent from school:

Room 8 have been doing some creative writing with our student teacher, Miss Shaw, based on this entertaining picture book.

This term the observant learners in the Room 4 & 5 Hub have become eager scientists!

Earlier this term our Kapa Haka group, Tikanga Wakari, did a fabulous job performing to our school audience in the beautiful Dunedin sunshine!

The Year 5s had a fabulous time at their recent Waiora Camp. A huge thanks to the parents that came along and helped out.

We have been writing 'I Am' Poems with Miss Shuttleworth. Enjoy reading about who we are and where we come from! Thanks Miss Shuttleworth for teaching and helping in Room 6 the last three weeks!

This week the Middles finally got to have their turn at experiencing the Museum Sleepover, a highlight for our Year 4's! On Tuesday night Hub 12/13 had an amazing time!

It is that time of the year when the school library is preparing for its annual stocktake.

The Children in the Rooms 4 and 5 Hub have been creating some rather amazing Aliens, using their imaginations to add all sorts of interesting features.

This term we have been scientists developing our observation skills.

Planning is underway for class allocation of pupils for 2022.

Once again Wakari School is proud to be supporting this community event where schools around Otago help fill a bus with donations of food, treats, toys and gifts. These are then given to those in need over Christmas. We are encouraging each family to donate something to this worthy cause. All donations are to be delivered to Room 11 anytime before Friday 26 November. Listed below are some possible ideas of items which could be donated. Many thanks Mrs Bardwell and the Room 11 learners.
