What a year we have had, it has been a blast. The amazing children in the Year two hub have done so much, and it has been so great to get to know these wonderful individuals.
The year started down in Rooms 12 and 13 and ended in Room 10 and 11. We not only changed classrooms, but teachers as well. The lucky children in room 10 have had two fabulous teachers this year. Mrs Bonney and Mrs Robbins sharing the year between them. So lots of changes, but thankfully we still have the same group of amazing children. I have asked a few what their highlights of the year have been.
George enjoyed Constable Ross, who came to talk to us about "Keeping Ourselves Safe."
"I liked it when we had Pip, my favourite was doing the minecraft." Eddie
"I liked the science, doing the experiments, especially the visitor from the museum who did a giant explosion in the water barrel." Hunter
I liked when we were exploring school creek and becoming Kaitiaki of the creek, and making the map with Dante." Oscar
"I really loved doing firewise especially when the firemen came." Georgia
Dante told me his highlight was learning about Matariki, learning about the stars of Matariki and making some cool art.
"My favourite part was when we made the strectchy dogs with Mrs Brookes." Billy
"My favourite part was making the truffles." Ako
"I like when we had the fun day at school at the beginning of the year and we made toast and played old fashioned games. I got butter in my hair." Lily
"I liked growing my plant, because I was excited to see it grow, and I like the soft leaf." Meijhenta
"My favourite was painting the pots." Aelin
