Thank you for a fabulous 2023. On behalf of the Wakari Staff I would like to wish tamariki and whānau a safe and relaxing festive season.

Below is the process to follow if your child will be absent from school.

This year we have learned so many different ways to share our learning during our time with Pip!

On Monday, we said thank you to our Wakari School Road Patrollers.

A huge ka pai to all of the tamariki who walked to school during Active August which resulted in our school winning a $300 spot prize voucher.

Room 6 have created some 'That was 2023' poems as we reflect on our awesome year! We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

What a fabulous way to end a terrific year!

Room 1 had a fantastic 2 weeks of swimming and all made great progress. Here is some of our writing which highlights some of our favourite moments.

Ho Ho Ho! We have been getting very festive in our neck of the woods!

All the Junior children got to play with the bits and pieces on Loosey (Sport Otago's loose part trailer) and had a wonderful time despite the weather.

This month has been an exciting one in our Hub with the arrival of our elf- Tinsel!

What a year we have had, it has been a blast. The amazing children in the Year two hub have done so much, and it has been so great to get to know these wonderful individuals.

After two weeks of daily swimming the progress our Room 10/11 tamariki made was amazing!

On Monday the Middle Syndicate children shared some Christmas magic at the Leslie Groves Rest Home.

On Monday the Junior uke band went to do a very special performance for the Wakari Kindergarten.

Once again there have been a number of children caught in the act. Well done! Award winners are:
