Middles make dinosaur games.

As part of our Dinosaurs - Skills for learning topic this term we have experimented with clay learning how to work with it, join parts together, keep it smooth, and use tools to make designs on it. After lots of practise we then designed and made funky dinosaur eyes.

In week 9, two Wakari rugby league teams played a match against each other on the top field. Thanks to Mrs Ollerenshaw and Mr Smith for all of their organising behind the scenes.

Congratulations to the 11 Year 6 students who have been chosen to be this year's Wakari School Physical Activity Leaders (PALs).

We recently held our Whānau Hui at school. This was a very positive evening where our families had an opportunity to make connections with others in our school community and for our school to share what things are happening at school to support and promote Te Ao Māori, the Māori worldview.

As part of our unit this term of "Making and Marking History" the children in the Rooms 4 and 5 Hub went to visit the Toitu Museum.

The Senior Hub have been busy making flower presses for our Farieality topic. The petals, ferns and leaves are currently pressing as we begin designing our outfits and wardrobes. Read below to learn how to make your own flower press.
