On Wednesday evening the Weedons School Choir, made up of children from Years 5-8, performed at the Christchurch Schools' Music Festival at the Town Hall. This was a fantastic experience for the children singing with around 700 other children from schools across Canterbury. The children were also able to listen to 100+ strong representative choirs, a concert band and a full symphony orchestra made up completely of children from Year 5 to 8. This is the Music Festival's second year back in the Town Hall after the earthquakes and then Covid interruptions. The Music Festival runs for 4 nights with different schools involved in the massed choir each night. The children sang wonderfully and represented Weedons admirably.
