In addition to work in the classes, this week and into next week, in celebration of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week) the Cultural Group is running some Māori kēmu (games) at interval for the different classes thorughout the kura (school). The group is also holding a colouring-in competition for the ākonga (students) to enter with entries due back no later than before school on Rāhina (Monday), September 19. Finally the Cultural Group is holding a Mihi Challenge for each class so that all ākonga have an opportunity to continue to practise their te reo Māori.
