Rob Naysmith —

It was a great finish to last week with Pink Shirt Day and our Dance performances. Unfortunately I was off site that day, but heard great things! Over the last two days children in Years 5-8 have been working on a STEM challenge EPro8 - please see article for more details. Thanks to Jacqui Newell for all her work organising this in-house event. We currently have the Outreach programme from Canterbury Museum working with classes as part of our Aotearoa NZ Histories focus.

I would like to congratulate our fabulous Office Manager Debs Moffat on her new position as the Office Manager of a Marlborough vineyard! We are extremely sad to see her go, but understand her need to move North. Debs is with us until the end of this term.

We have been fortunate enough to receive a further $1000 through the 'Ferns fuel for school' programme formerly know as Southfuel. We are able to use this money for sport equipment, technology, library books, or music resources. A Special Thanks to the following families and business in our community who nominate us through Fern Energy:

Canterbury Timber and Hardware Ltd

McGrath Calf Rearing

Nova Trust Board

Skellerup Industries Ltd

Total Excavation Ltd

Weedons Country Club Inc

Have a great end to your week.
