Kia ora,

Thanks for emailing and phoning in absences it really does help. We had about 20 children away sick the other day and we didn't need to make any follow up calls, this really does save us a lot of time.

We were fortunate to have NZ Playhouse come and perform Treasure Island for us last week. It is always good having plays and productions come into school, they add a richness to our curriculum and the children really enjoy them.

Over winter we need children to be wearing shoes when playing outside. The main reason is so they can take them off when they come back inside and save dragging mud into classrooms. Please make sure children come to school with footwear that will support whatever activity they will be doing - shoes or gumboots. Slippers can be worn inside.

We have now had 25 responses to our community survey this is about 25% of our school families which is a good start but we would like to see that number increase. If you haven't done the survey yet please follow this link and complete it, every voice is important. The survey closes Friday next week.

We are looking forward to our dance performance on Friday afternoon 2:10pm. Everyone is invited to come along and see the fantastic work the children have been doing creating their dances. This will be held on the back court. Unfortunately the weather is not looking good for Friday. If the weather is no good we will need to cancel our performance as we can't fit everyone in the hall. We will send a message via SeeSaw before 11:30 if we need to cancel.

Ngā mihi
