Rob Naysmith —

I hope you all had a great long weekend and made the most of the fabulous weather. It has been a busy start to the week with our Years 7&8 children going out on their Activity Days and our Years 5&6 children heading to camp in Hanmer this morning.

I would like to congratulate Hayley Currie on winning a fixed term position here at Weedons for 2023. Hayley will be teaching Kowhai, Room 3 while Pat Wyatt is on Study Leave.

As a school we would like to apologise for a lack of notification for some events over Terms 3 and 4 and an over ambitious calendar. Covid meant that events for Term 1 and even some of the Term 2 events were pushed into Terms 3 & 4. As we didn't want children missing out on opportunities we went with the date changes which has meant a lot on! The staff are undertaking a review of the calendar and the dates. We will inform parents/caregivers of annual events at the start of the year and carefully select other events as they come up throughout the year.

This Friday is World Teachers Day. We are fortunate to have an amazingly talented teaching staff here at Weedons, please remind your child/ren to thank their teachers for the fabulous job they do.
