2025 is an important year for WEGC - We are consulting on our strategic plan and due to undergo School Board elections in September. As a community school we would like your input to ensure we capture your voice as we plan for our future direction.
Strategic Plan Consultation:
This year our WEGC Board is consulting on our 2026 - 2028 Strategic Plan. As a member of our school whānau we would like to have your voice, so please come along and share your experiences and thoughts about WEGC. We are proud of what we do and believe we can do even better. As part of our commitment to continual improvement we value hearing your ideas.
We will provide refreshments and a big welcome - This will be a relaxed, fun and focused Hui. Please look at the dates below and join in with one of the sessions. You might not be a regular attendee at one of our parent groups but you are welcome to attend to share your voice. You can RSVP via the form below to let us know which session you would like to attend. Each session will be around 1.5 hours long.

If you are unable to attend one of these meetings there will be a chance to have your say by engaging with an activity that will come home with your students at the start of Term 3.
Board Elections:
This year is the triennial elections for school boards. The election date is 10 September 2025. The school has returned to the triennial cycle (rather than staggered elections) meaning we will have 5 vacancies at this upcoming election.
School boards play an important role in NZ schools. Becoming a board member is a rewarding way to make an investment in your student’s education and to contribute to your local community.
