Nowrapvember

Darren Smalley —

Next week is the start of Nowrapvember. This year, we will be counting the number of items of litter in each students lunchbox each day for four weeks.

The school that has the biggest drop in litter after the first week wins an awesome statue.

Nowrapvember is to raise awareness of how much litter is brought to school in lunchboxes, and also to encourage ways to reduce litter in general. So yes it’s great if there is no litter in your child’s lunchbox, but if you are throwing away the wrapping at home, it is not really doing anything to reduce waste going to landfill.

In addition, throughout Nowrapvember, the EcoWarriors will be collecting and counting rubbish around the school to see if there is a drop in litter during the month.

Lastly, all rubbish bins (not recycling) will be removed from the classrooms (and staffroom) for the whole month. If you have any questions, please contact Darren Smalley
