Student Executive Update

Thanks to parents for helping to make our Book Character Parade such a success. The costumes were great. We are super excited! We have tentatively planned some events for the next two terms.

First up is 'Wheels Day' on Friday 17 August (next week). Students are able to bring anything with wheels to school eg scooters, skateboards, bikes, remote control cars. They need to remember to bring a helmet if they are riding anything.Towards the end of the term we are looking at organising a PJ and Games Day. We will finalise the details in the next couple of weeks. We are planning on having "West Melton's Got Talent" early Term 4. Students need to start thinking about an item and even start practicing. Entry forms will be out towards the end of the term.

This term we are focussing on the ICE DRIVER value 'EMPATHY". Empathy is being aware of and sharing another person's feelings, experiences and emotions. We are going to hand out tokens to the students who are listening and understanding and also being inclusive. We will also be presenting information at every Celebration of Learning.

Finally we are going to have our annual Term 4 Toy Sale.  We would love donations of books, puzzles, toys etc.
